About Us
Our Story
The idea for Spirited Lanterns began when my family decided to try a Homemade Christmas in 2020. While searching for inspiration, I came across fairy houses made from wine bottles online. That sparked a question: how could I create something just as enchanting, but uniquely festive for the holidays?
I imagined scenes like Santa’s workshop and the North Pole, or characters like reindeer and snowmen, but then it hit me - gingerbread men! Why not create a charming gingerbread house as a gift for my sister?
That first lantern was such a joy to make that it inspired me to build an entire Christmas Village for my fireplace mantle, all from recycled spirits bottles (see below). To my surprise and delight, others loved my creations too and soon began to request their own!
A few years later, I discovered a competition aimed at supporting creative dreams and decided to take a chance. Although I did not win the grand prize, I was honored to be named a Top 10 finalist nationwide! That recognition was incredibly validating, and it encouraged me to officially launch Spirited Lanterns and brighten homes beyond my own.

Overview
Making an Impact
Spirited Lanterns are a new kind of home for the holidays, with a vision of transforming waste into wonder and proving that sustainability can shine bright! With a bit of creativity and care, I turn recycled bottles into festive lanterns and donate a portion of each sale to local charities.
What began with gingerbread houses has grown to include new collections such as haunted houses and dreamhouses. My mission is to keep bottles out of landfills, light up lives along the way, and create a lasting impact through recycling, charitable donations, and yes, a bit of glitter!
